I'm in a rainy mood today... and it's not even raining. :\ Sort of a self-portrait -- though I don't look like this girl.
Spent 1h40min on this (I recorded myself while painting, may post the video here sometime soon). Did it first in black & white and then I added the colors. :)
Today's daily sketch, from memory -- I've been currently trying so hard to get myself free from using (too much) references... ARGH!
Anyway, took me about 1 hour on Photoshop CS3. Inspired by the awesome R. Woodward... again! :P
Woke up and wished that I was dead
With an aching in my head
I lay motionless in bed
I thought of you and where you'd gone
and let the world spin madly on
"World Spins Madly On" by The Weepies
Quick doodles from memory I did this afternoon on Photoshop. Wanted to do something cleaner, more stylized and such.
This is a quick painting live demonstration I did on my uni yesterday, with Photoshop CS4. I really had a great time! Thanks a lot to Rosangella Leote for the opportunity and to everyone for the interest! :)
And for a side-note: unintentionally, the girl totally looks like my sister -- even the haircut is the same, haha! <3

40 minutes (or something like that).

Done today during lunch break in uni, while talking with some friends of mine. I've tried to depict my dear friend Letícia -- she's floating, yeah (er, not actually. Honestly, I was just too lazy to draw the floor...)! :D
I have tons of paintings in my HD I know I'll never finish -- mostly because, after having to stop to work on them because of some professional stuff, I don't like them enough anymore when I come back to paint. Heh.
Oh, and I have a video I recorded while painting the first piece -- I might upload it to Vimeo sometime.
Something that popped up while doodling around today, about 20 minutes of sketch. I'm planning to finish this one -- and feeling that this kimono will give me a lot of problems...
A BPR render test on ZBrush after doing the sculpting with the same software. Not so happy with the result, though -- wish I could work a little more on this...
Exercise done for Fontaine Digital course (at Melies), with the awesome Caio César as my teacher -- he's a monster!! Hope I'll get good as him one day!
I've been currently working on a workshop for a magazine and this (sketchy) image supposed to be the result of it, but I changed my mind midway and decided to do something closer to my style -- more polished and so on. The painting now is way different, but I still kinda like this one, so I'm posting it here anyway. :)
Nothing really special or sophisticated. I just wanted to update the blog with something new. 20 minutes of painting on Photoshop, I guess...? Hm, I'm not sure. Inspired by Kodama, a character from Hayao Miyazaki's "Mononoke Hime" movie.
EDIT: I decided to work a little more on the picture ‒ you can see the final result on my deviantART. Hope you'll like it!
A quick doodle I did yesterday in uni ‒ well, to be more exact, in its stairwell, placed outside the building. It's truly a lovely (and frighteningly high as hell) place, with an amazing vista of São Paulo city.
The sketch was done in A3 paper with 6B pencil. I know there're a LOT of mistakes but I couldn't help but scan the image and mess with the colors in Photoshop.
Starting next week I'll try to update the blog with quick sketches every day. Let's see how it goes! Meanwhile, I'm waiting to get my desk microphone ‒ soon you'll know why, ha! :D
