"Concept"

Pseudo-concept of a girl I'll try to model in 3D. HELP! :(
40 minutes (or something) of doodle, I guess.

Red

Something that popped up while doodling around today, about 20 minutes of sketch. I'm planning to finish this one -- and feeling that this kimono will give me a lot of problems...

Glub Glub Glub

I've been currently working on a workshop for a magazine and this (sketchy) image supposed to be the result of it, but I changed my mind midway and decided to do something closer to my style -- more polished and so on. The painting now is way different, but I still kinda like this one, so I'm posting it here anyway. :)

A New (Old) Video

I actually started this way before Live Water, but didn't manage to finish it yet. :P
Here's a "video preview" (and painting as well), about... 20 minutes of work, I don't know:

Not very attractive at this point! :P

Yes, I work with 2 windows – it's very, very useful, you should try it when painting on a large file!
I'm currently in an advanced stage of this painting – doing the hair to be more specific – but far from the end... Didn't decide yet if I'm going to do just a plain portrait or not. Hmmm...

Well, to close this post I'm leaving with you a great video from Ayumi Hamasaki (浜崎あゆみ)! I think she's great! Not only her music but her videos and outfits as well – they're all inspiring! ♥

I hope you'll like it.

Take good care everyone!

1, 2, 3, 4!

Some doodles I did directly with a ballpoint pen during phone conversation with a friend of mine! Nothing really special or sophisticated, but I wanted to share something traditional, since I'm lately doing more things like that – mainly college works. I really like to draw on tablet, but most of time I prefer to do it on paper, especially when it comes to sketches and studies.

I'm currently also trying to learn oil painting; maybe I'll post here some result of this "experiment" one day – oh, God! Prepare youself for the terror! Hahaha! :P
Anyway, the big-nose man there in the drawing is my favorite. ♥

I hope you like doodles!
Bigs hugs to all,
Karin

P.S.: I'm almost finished the video recording's editing and the tutorial for Live Water! I'm really, really sorry for the eternal delay!!! :((((

Boredom

Doodling during a class. Please pardon the messy strokes and the wrong anatomy, I was just trying to put some ideas on paper. ;)

Hope you'll like it!

Back to traditions

Today I felt like posting something different, something more... traditional. :) So I decided to scan some of my old traditional sketches.
Most of them were done during free time and meant to be a study of proportions, face, eyes, hands, shadows... only that. But there're some here I really did with the purpose of painting and finishing someday, like the first 3 sketches, which are characters suggested by a teacher I had. :]

Hope you like doodles! :)

More Doodles! :)

I really don't know how much time I spent on this one..., but it wasn't so much. :)
Again, trying to get some ideas while I'm finishing an other illustration I'm currently doing – and making a video recording as well.

As for this sketch... I like her eyes and her nose! :D

P.S.: I really have to do a decent layout for the blog! :(

Pinkish and Greenish

Just a very quick doodle I did on an afternoon, about 2 hours of work. :) Was trying to play with colors and get some ideas for my next piece of Precious Stones series. ;) I hope you'll like it! :)
S C R E E N S H O T S :

About some other stuffs, but still talking about the series, I've finally finished my second piece: EMERALD (please check it for more informations and details)!! :D I had more difficulties to arrange the composition and the look this time but, in the end, I think I liked the result. :) Hope you like it as well!! ;)

After this I guess I'll take a little break of Precious Stones for a while. =P Will try to work on another idea that I have for months but could not execute it yet. Let's see if it works this time. ;)
Meanwhile take good care, everyone!

Hugs to all,
Karin
